  • Know Where to Find Them: if you put all of your effort into member engagement on twitter but the vast majority don’t use twitter, it won’t matter how great your social content is, you will still fail. Conduct a quick member survey or have your team do some research to find out what platforms members use most because you need to be where your members are.
  • Member Profiles: everyone likes to read about themselves or the people they know. Create a monthly feature where you highlight one of your members sharing how they contribute to the association, what their company is up to and something fun about their life.
  • Build a Toolkit: make it easy for your members to share industry messaging on their own social channels by creating a toolkit with suggested copy and hashtags, downloadable graphics and best practices.
